The new MagneGas 2, described as “a rich mix of gases”, cuts 38% faster than acetylene on 2-in.-thick carbon steel, and with a 34% reduction in oxygen consumption, according to tests conducted by EWI.
MagneGas Corporation, the developer of a technology for converting liquid waste into a hydrogen-based fuel, has introduced a new formulation of that gas, a substance it claims cuts faster than acetylene with significantly less oxygen consumption. Independent tests were performed on MagneGas® 2 by EWI, and showed that the new gas cut 38% faster than acetylene on 2-in.-thick carbon steel, and with a 34% reduction in oxygen consumption. The results were even better for MagneGas 2 when ...
