Fortress Interlocks (www.fortressinterlocks.com) has introduced a new design for its slide that controls access to enclosed areas or machines where hazards may be present. The slide is designed for use with the AutoStop gate switch unit and has an actuator at the head. When the door is shut, the bar is pushed until the actuator tongue engages with the AutoStop unit, turning the power on to the machine. When the door is opened and the bar is retracted, the actuator is removed, turning off the power. Other features include padlock holes for lock-out operations and an internal release handle.
