Linde Gases is introducing a new, ergonomically designed electronic welding helmet it indicated has been specially constructed to protect operators in a range of welding applications, in construction, manufacturing, and engineering. The Linde Group division with experience in the development and safe application of gas technologies, took into consideration a number of issue that welders face daily, including the need for comfort.
“Linde has always played a pioneering role in developing leading edge gas technology and equipment for the welding industry,” said Peter Upcott, Linde’s global safety products manager. “We understand the need for protection and are in an ideal position to provide solutions and support.”
The OHE350 helmet has a lightweight shell that is durable, and designed to minimize the volume of welding fumes in the user’s immediate surroundings. The ergonomic design makes the helmet extremely comfortable.
An important design feature of the helmet is that it is equipped with a high-speed electronic darkening filter lens, which not only offers complete UV and IR light protection but also switches from clear to dark in 0.0005 seconds, for quick and effective protection.
Solar power cells fuel the lens from an enclosed, back-up lithium battery.
