Nikon designed the MA100 for routine observation and analysis of prepared material and metallurgical samples in the automotive, aerospace, medical device and electronics industry. Users can connect the microscope to digital cameras and image analysis software for digital image processing. Features include Nikon's CF160 objective lenses, a polarizer/analyzer singleaction mechanism and a durable X-Y stage. The company says the microscope's small footprint makes the instrument affordable and ideal for in-line sample inspection for the manufacturing, production and assembly environments that require quality control of materials.
