M.K. Morse Co. (www.mkmorse.com) says it manufactures its new line of bimetal portable band saw blades from material that is 0.025-in. thick instead of 0.20-in thick. The company says the thicker blades improve beam strength and reduce deflection when the blades are used in tough applications or in machines. The company says the blades are shatter resistant and measure 44 ⁷⁄₈-in. long by ¹⁄₂-in. wide.
