Anti-spatter fluid
PICO Chemical Corp. (www.picochemical.com) formulated a water-based anti-spatter compound that the company says helps companies meet industrial requirements for protecting metallic surfaces against welding spatter. The company says its Pico Weld Kote does not contain oil, petroleum, waxes, silicones, nitrites, or any known carcinogens. Fabricators can use the orange-colored compound straight from the bottle or diluted with water. The company says the compound is easily cleaned with water-based alkaline cleaners, and does not interfere with subsequent metal treatments, including painting and plating.
