Waterjet machining center

OMAX (www.omax.com) designed the 55100 JetMachiningCenter to cut large parts. The large-footprint abrasive-jet machine accommodates sheets of material up to 5 ft. x 10 ft., and cuts complex flat parts from a wide range of materials. The company says the controls are based on the Windows XP operating system to simpify programming of complex techniques. Operators can machine parts directly from CAD drawings or create drawings in the embedded software. The waterjet holds tolerances up to 0.003 in.
