Hougen Manufacturing Inc. (www.hougen.com) introduced a power-feed portable magnetic drill with a holemaking capacity from 7/16-in. to 1 1/4-in. in diameter. The HMD925 drills through materials up to 2-in. thick using the power feed option, or up to 1 1/2 -in. thick in manual mode. The company says that using the power feed option extends tool life, thus lowering the cost per hole drilled. The unit weighs 37 lbs.
