Heck Industries (www.heckind.net) introduced a plate beveler that produces bevels up to 1 3/16-in. The company says the Model 9000 Bevel-Mill uses standard carbide inserts in a milling cutter for beveling most machinable materials, including mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel. The machine supports itself on the workpiece, while the operator hand feeds the tool along the edge of the plate at speeds up to 6 ft. per min.
