WardJet Inc. (www.wardjet.com) designed its new water-jets to be retrofitted to CNC machines such as lasers, robotic arms, oxy-fuel or plasma-cutters, and other CNC machinery. The M-Series water-jet tanks use a bed of ball bearings 3.5-in., 5-in., or 8-in. deep instead of water to dissipate the excess energy of the water-jet stream. A tent around the tank keeps all the abrasive and water inside the tank. A self-flushing system removes the water, abrasive and cut-off material from inside the tank.
