Weiler Corp. (www.weilercorp.com) introduced knot wire cup brushes for weld cleaning, cleaning large metal surfaces and deburring. The steel band on the brushes controls flaring on the brush face and can be removed to expose more wire once the wire tips are worn down to the band. The 2-in. diameter banded knot wire cup brushes use 0.014 or 0.02 steel wire or 0.020 stainless steel wire at a maximum of 12,500 rpm. The 4-in. diameter cup brushes uses 0.023 wire at a maximum of 9,000 rpm.
