Amada America Inc. (www.amada.com) says it added features to its HDS NT press brake series that improve productivity. These additions include BendCAM with Dr. ABE, a software package for automatically generating programs such as tool selection and layout and bending sequence. The HDS series now can use modular-style tooling. Modular-style tooling allows for hydraulic clamping along the entire length of the bed and can save time by eliminating tool alignment.
