Hypertherm Inc. (www.hypertherm.com) has released a HyPerformance plasma torch upgrade designed for existing HyDefinition HD4070 metal cutting systems. The company says users of the older HD4070 mechanized systems will have consistent cut quality, cut speeds up to 28 percent faster and operating costs about 50 percent lower with the upgraded torch. Torch-and-lead upgrade kits are available with 6-ft., 10-ft. or 15-ft. torch leads; 200-ampere machine torch; and upgrade software.
