Weiler Corp. (www.weilercorp.com) introduced abrasive discs with resist loading that it says ensure constant contact between the grain and an aluminum surface. The company says its Al-tra Cut Discs remove material at twice the rate of a conventional resin fiber discs. Discs are made in 2-in. and 3-in. diameters for use on high-speed air tools, and sizes 4-in. and 7-in. diameters for large, rightangle grinders. The small-diameter discs are made with a fiber backing that the company says extends disc life.
