Kodak's NDT unit digitizes x-ray data from the reusable plate so that the information can be directly entered into computer programs for efficient monitoring, according to Rolf Keck-Michaeli, sales manager for NDT for Aerial and Industrial Markets for Kodak GmbH.
The machine was adopted from similar products in the healthcare industry, is designed to work with any x-ray system, and is highly portable, so it can be used in the field or in shops, he said.
