The new Shear Genius Flexible Manufacturing Cell for sheet metal squares sheets quickly on a machine table with no auxiliary table. Finn-Power says a new actuation mechanism for X and Y movement of the coordinate table and a new, optional fourth clamp have improved process stability than previous models The coordinate table is 244 in. so 120-in. sheet can be punched and 60-in. sheet can be sheared (Y-axis) without repositioning. Punching is hydraulic and has a force of 33 ton. The company says the 20-station turret punch press features increased index speed, indexable upforming, and an optional large work chute.
