For heavy-duty applications, Metabo's SBP 18 Plus cordless hammer drill handles impact-drilling of concrete and brickwork and also drills steel, aluminum, and other materials.

An enclosed housing and a seal in the charging slot prevents dirt and dampness. The drill's 18-V battery holds 2,000 or more charges.

The drills features a 2-speed gearboxes, five torque settings, and Metabo's Variospeed technologies. The special Impuls system lets the user drive screws and drill in metal and ceramic without centerpunching. Units drill holes up to ¹ /2 in-diameter in steel.
