Linear guides with encoders
Schneeberger's
AMSA 3-A and AMSA 4-A linear guide/magnetic encoder systems provide
machines with positioning feedback in all three axes and encoder
resolutions up to 0.06 µ. Units feature hard cover
bands to protect the magnetic scales, and ceramic sliding elements
on the electronic scanning head for protection against
contamination. The company reports combining the linear magnetic
scales with roller motion guides provides a cost-savings
alternative to linear glass scales because the system withstands
applications subject to vibration, shock, oil, dirt, and coolants.
Both models feature sensor cables that attach from the back of the
scan-head to the front of the electronic housing unit, reducing
space requirements. The AMSA 3-A is available in roller guide sizes
MR25, 35, 45, 55, and 65 and the AMSA 4-A is available in ball
guide sizes BM15, 20 , 25 , 30 , 35 , 40 , and 45 .
