Infrared thermometer
The M670S
noncontact infrared thermometer accurately measures temperatures
from 662° to 5,432° F in stationary and moving parts.
Applications include induction heating of small parts, vacuum
melting of metals, heat-treating furnaces, glass melting tanks, and
rotary kilns. Thermometers feature digital inter-faces to remotely
address up to 32 sensors, upright through-lens sighting with
variable focus, and alarms to warn of extreme temperatures or
process rates. They measure temperature by receiving passive
radiation from targets at short wavelengths of visible or infrared
light. This reportedly minimizes the effects of water vapor and
target emission variations. The units measure through glass,
quartz, or sapphire ports.
