The Space Master Series 3 coil line unwinds, straightens, and feeds coil stock. The straightener/feeder eliminates the need for an excessive slack-loop area. For rigidity, the unit mounts on a common machine base. Eight models process coil up to 0.250-in. thick and handle spools up to 64- in. in diameter that weigh up to 20,000 lb. The manufacturer reports the footprint of the Space Master Series 3 is only 12 to 15 ft, compared to lengths for similar conventional lines.
