A new precision Angular Measuring and Alignment Kit for industrial applications delivers highly accurate alignment capability in a compact, easy-to-use, affordable package. With an angular measuring sensitivity of one arc second, this system aligns precision mounts and fixtures, antenna arrays, molding machine platens, press faces, and other assemblies. Precision angles can be measured and checked over surfaces up to 20 ft., making it a good tool for surface profiling. The kit includes the Microgage 2000 laser transmitter. This projects a collimated laser reference beam captured upon transmission through the angle measuring prism by a receiver that is connected to a digital display. As the beam moves along the receiver, a digital readout displays the measurements necessary for checking angular alignment.
