High Performance Tooling for Strippit/LVD thin turret machines can cut downtime and reduce tooling costs. The HP Fab line is engineered to cut the time spent on changing and adjusting punches. Faster tool changes result in higher productivity. With a push button feature, length adjustments are instantaneous. Pushing the button and completing a click and turn motion, positive adjustments are made in 0.004 in. increments. For added convenience, the button is side mounted to improve access. Punch replacements are not a time-consuming process with an improved stripper plate retention. Using a quick release mechanism, the stripper plate pops out instantly, allowing instant access to the punch. Once the punch is replaced, the stripper plate snaps back into position. The process requires no tools and is completed in seconds. The tooling was engineered with features that prolong the tool life, lowering punch replacement costs. Made from premium hardened tool steel, the punches are built for durability. The line also maximizes punch grind life. The tooling is compatible with existing tooling inventories for a low-cost transition.
