Carell's 4RH-NC and CNC Series 4 roll plate rolls now sport CNC direct radius input controls. The machines handle 6 to 20 ft-long ³ /16 to 3-in.-thick plates. The 4RH-NC plate rolls feature microprocessor-controlled hydraulic proportional valves to maintain precision alignment of the lateral bending and pinch rolls, for precision rolling of cylinders and polycentric shapes. The company reports the roll-movement mechanism is virtually maintenance-free because there are no torsion bars, cams, or jack cylinders required to keep the rolls parallel.
