Material Handling System
The Tower
Server, an automated material handling system, is compact, can
increase production up to 50 percent, reduce manual labor, and
assist lights-out manufacturing. The machine consists of a 15-shelf
storage pallet loading/unloading unit, automatic arm with pickup
device, and suction cup loading, a double-sheet thickness control
device, sheet metal separation unit, controller, and standard
protection barriers. To automatically load work sheets on the
pallet changer and unload cut parts and scrap remnants, the server
uses an automatic arm and fork-type pick-up device. The ruggedly
made device lifts processed parts and scrap remnants and delivers
the processed sheet back to the storage unit's unloading cassette
area. The control unit is interfaced with the laser's CNC
controller and can handle sheet dimensions of minimum 40 in. x 40
in., maximum 78 in. x 157 in., maximum sheet thickness and weight
of 0.787 in. x 2,821 lbs. and a maximum single pallet payload of
8,800 lbs.
