The NC Series Gap Frame press offers a cost-effective and flexible transfer line when combined with the press builder's automation options. Suited to customers with large volume part orders, but not large enough for a dedicated transfer press, the integrated, turnkey gap transfer line can include the Linepacer, Multi-pacer NCAH-III, or A-8 Inter-Press Transfer Robot for different job requirements. The presses have the ability to perform precision transfer work because they are built with rigid frames that limit angular deflection under load to one half or less the deflection of other gap presses. The system is flexible allowing customers to use gap machines as independent manual presses when the job requires.

The NC1 single pint and NC2 two point gap frame presses are equipped with the fastest Hydraulic Overload Protection System. The presses offer low bearing clearance and the small angular frame deflection, both which mean extended tool life and accurate parts while minimizing part burr, noise, and vibration. The presses are equipped with a wet clutch, which allows for achieving a high single stroke rate without the clutch overheating when using the gap frame in hand-fed operations or with automation. The pinion and gear are machined close to tolerances to minimize operating backlash.
