A four-color data sheet describes the scope of the NDT-Resonant Acoustic Method. Based on the SDC003 LanSharc hardware platform, the NDT-RAM application uses an instrumented impact hammer and a microphone for quality assurance testing of powdered metals and castings via the acoustic signature of components in a quick manner. The system allows for fully automated quality control testing of 100 percent of parts in a production environment. Included in the sheet is a list of typical applications and industries and a list of what NDT inspection can detect. It also provides an example statistical analysis report, a simple illustration of the NDT-RAM process, and an easy-to-read list of benefits.
