The James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation has published a new book, Arc Welded Projects, Volume IV, that features step-by-step directions for fun projects targeted at the home hobbyist and do-it-yourself welder.
Projects range from a gas-fired cooker trailer to a stainless steel pickup sander, and from a Dutch miser wood stove to a bike rack. All of the projects were created by welding students as entries for the foundation's annual awards programs.
Arc Welded Projects, Volume IV is divided into five categories:
Agriculture — featuring projects such as hydraulic trench digger, chisel plow and hay bale squeezer.
Trailers — featuring projects such as 24-foot gooseneck trailer, single axle van trailer and off-road monster grill/barbeque.
Shop Projects — featuring projects such as hydraulic work station, flat bar steel roller and oil filter crusher.
Home & Recreation — featuring projects such as square fire pit, electric start log splitter and hitch-carried recumbent bike rack.
Miscellaneous — featuring projects such as eight-foot snow pusher, pit cart and horse-drawn trolley.
The book includes a materials list, step-by-step instructions and full plan designs for each project, and the names of the students and instructors who made the projects and the names and locations of their schools..
