Cold Jet LLC has introduced its fully automated dry ice pellet-to-slice reformer. The R3000 Reformer produces customizable dry ice slice sizes that allows industrial gas companies to economize by producing customizable dry ice slice sizes to meet the needs of a variety of industries.

The R3000 Reformer's convenient design allows users to reconfigure the dimensions of the press head assembly in less than 10 minutes. Reforming dry ice pellets into slices reduces dry ice sublimation and waste and eliminates the hazards associated with traditional ice block cutting processes. The unit is fully automated and can use both dry ice pellets and nuggets. The system can be easily integrated with a Cold Jet P3000 pelletizer to produce and reform high-density pellets on demand into 1,000 “airline” slices per hour. Unlike traditional systems, the reformer helps to control the loss of CO₂ gas by reliquefaction.

The R3000 Reformer produces low operational sound levels of less than 84dBA, has low energy consumption versus comparable units in the market; and its open frame design simplifies troubleshooting, service and maintenance.

Cold Jet services a broad customer base providing both dry ice blast cleaning equipment and dry ice production solutions to thousands of customers worldwide. The first R3000 Reformer system was recently sold to ACP Belgium NV, a producer of high-quality carbon dioxide.
