Conceptual Innovations (www.conceptualinnovations.org) has developed a product that is designed to protect the environment from ground contamination caused by fuel and oil spills.

The company's “Fuel Bib” is designed to protects user's investments from harmful fuel stains and engine oil spills that may cause a fire while it addresses the growing problem of environmental contamination caused by petroleum-based products.

Conceptual Innovations said it sells its Fuel Bib in packages that include 5. one-time-use bibs in a full-color, four-sided package card. The packaging outlines the story behind the Fuel Bib, and provides instructions, additional uses and contact information. The plastic packaging is designed to be re-sealable.

The company said applications of the Fuel Bib include re-fueling gasoline or diesel tanks, re-filling oil or break fluid reservoirs, and filling coolant and other fluid reservoirs. The bibs are designed to work with any type of machinery, vehicle or mechanical devise that requires fluids to function.

The Fuel Bib is made from an absorbent material that is engineered to absorb petroleum based fluids. The company said the product meets EPA regulations in the “Absorbent Category.”

Conceptual Innovations said it added an additional benefit by adding a flame retarding agents to its product. The company said the flame retardants are non-toxic and nonhazardous to the environment to allow for safe disposal of the product after it has been used.
