A REDESIGNED WEBSITE

Weldcraft (www.weldcraft.com) launched its new Internet site in mid-December.

The company's website was redesigned to make information on product selection more convenient, and to make navigation easier. It also has increased educational resources, and in-depth parts and accessories information.

The site was designed with an intuitive home page interface to allow visitors to learn about the company's two primary product lines, its Crafter Series and its WP Series; and which are appropriate for their gas tungsten arc welding (TIG) needs.

The individual product pages then allows users to further define their search based on product category, and to get product spec sheets with torch and replacement part information.

Additionally, the site has a new product selection guide that is designed to provide three gas tungsten arc welding torch options for an application based on cooling type, metal type, metal thickness and weld type. The selection guide also recommends the correct tungsten electrode diameter, polarity, gas flow rate, torch cup orifice diameter, amperage range, welding speed, filler metal diameter and gas type based on the selected variables.

CREATIVE SHOP WORK

There are many creative welders that post their projects on the WeldingForum website, and one of the best recent projects was mounting lights on a tractor-mounted snow blower.

You can see the steps the welder took and the results of his work at http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=26120.

WELDING VIDEOS ON-LINE

Check out the new welding videos on the Welding Theater website, http://www.weldingtheater.com.

The videos include one from Fronius Laboratory on cold-metal transfer, a welding process that imparts little heat yet provides a solid weld.
