DMI Industries (www.dmiindustries.com), announced several plant expansions to meet growing demand for towers used in the wind energy industry.
The company announced last June that it would expand its facilities in West Fargo, N.D., and near Tulsa, Okla., that was designed to which will increase capacity by 40 at the West Fargo plant and to double capacity at the Okalhoma plant.
In October, DMI said it would increase production capacity by 25 percent at its manufacturing facility in Fort Erie, Ontario, to meet the growing demand for towers in the northern tier of the United States and southeastern and south central regions of Canada.
DMI said it would be the largest wind tower manufacturer in North America when the expansions were completed.
Each of the expansions were expected to require additional welders to produce tower sections for the wind energy industry.
