Lincoln Electric upgrades MIG machines

The Lincoln Electric Co. also has upgraded two of its most popular Power MIG machines.

The Power MIG 215XT now is spool gun ready, and the Power MIG 255XT now also is made standard with timer functions for increased welding control.

Lincoln Electric said its Power MIG 215XT now is the most cost effective welder/spool gun package in its class.

The company said the spool-gun-ready Power MIG 215XT is designed to help professionals in auto body and sheet metal fabrication to get the most from their machine, especially in light-duty aluminum applications. It is compatible with Lincoln Electric's Magnum 100SG spool gun that is enabled with a factory-installed toggle switch to allow either spool gun or push gun operation.

Lincoln Electric's said the new standard timer functions on its Power MIG 255XT increase welding control. The standard timer functions add a four-step interlock, spot mode, adjustable run-in speed that provide smoother arc starting and adjustable burnback time to minimize sticking in puddle.

The Power MIG 255XT is designed specifically for MIG and flux-cored welding in industrial production, job shop fabrication, maintenance and repair work. Additionally, it offers 115-volt auxiliary power so that lights, grinders and chargers can be powered.

Direct plugs for adapting to various feeders

The Dura-Flux self-shielded flux-cored welding gun from Bernard Welding Equipment (www.BernardWelds.com) now can be configured with direct plugs for wire feeders outfitted with Tweco 4 and Euro gun connections.

Direct plug replacement kits make Dura-Flux direct plugs easily interchangeable, allowing companies with several brands of feeders to move the Dura-Flux from one brand of feeder to another simply by switching the direct plug and trigger cord adapter.

In addition to the Tweco 4 and Euro direct plugs, the Dura-Flux can also be configured with Miller and Lincoln direct plugs.

The Dura-Flux is rated to 350 amps at 60 percent duty cycle and can handle higher current loads at reduced duty cycles. It accepts flux-cored wire up to 0.094-in. and is equipped with a heavy-duty monocoil power cable and Bernard's Centerfire contact tips.
