The PAK 200 is designed to meet the most demanding of manual plasma cutting applications. It provides 200 amps of cutting and gouging power in a manual system.
The company said compared to conventional air carbon arc gouging, plasma arc gouging with the PAK 200 offers superior removal rates and clear visibility of the gouging area.
Other features of the PAK 200 include:
-
100 percent duty cycle at 200 amps.
-
Multi-voltage plugs for welder
Maximum cut capacity of 2.75 in. on mild steel.
-
Liquid-cooled torch for long part life.
-
Dual-gas capability for good cut quality and control.
-
Gas engine driven welder generator
Tip Saver that ensures accidental contact between tip and work at high power levels won't damage tip.
-
High gouging removal rate allows for the removal of up to 25 lb. of carbon steel per hour.
The system provides a fast, economical, and environmentally friendly method of removing just about any metal including: carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass and bronze.
Lincoln Electric launches low-hydrogen stick electrode
Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. (www.milterwelds.com) has added MVP Plugs to its Maxstar 150 TIG/stick welder.
The plugs enable the unit to connect to 115-V and 230-V receptacles. Miller also includes a polypropylene X-Case to protect the Maxstar 150 and its accessories during transport and storage.
The Maxstar 150 is available in three models: S: stick-only, STL: stickITlG lift-arc start and STH: stickITlG high frequency and lift-arc start. The STL and STH models include a redesigned 6-pin receptacle for use with a foot pedal or remote control switch.
Also new from Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. is the Bobcat 225 gas engine-driven welder generator that has a fully enclosed case for added protection.
Lincoln Electric upgrades MIG machines
The unit, available with a Kohler 23-hp or Subaru/Robin 22-hp gas engine, provides 10,500 watts of generator power and up to 225 amps of welding output — stick, flux cored, MIG, TIG and air carbon arc gouging — making it a good choice for maintenance and repair operations, farm and ranch, construction and truck-mounted applications.
“The Bobcat 225's case directs the hot air away from the engine for cooler operation, ensuring full output even in hot weather or when it's mounted in a confined space with restricted air flow, such as in a truck bed,” John Leisner, Miller Electric product manager said. “Plus, by fully enclosing the Bobcat 225, we cut sound levels by 33 percent.”
The Lincoln Electric Co. (www.lincolnelectric.com) has added a new low-hydrogen stick electrode to its line of Excalibur mild steel stick electrodes.
The Excalibur 7028 was designed specifically for structural fabricators who work with high depositions in the flat and horizontal positions. The company said it offers the same superior characteristics of the Excalibur line with of higher deposition rates and increased travel speeds.
In addition, the company said the 7028 provides smooth, even burn-off, easy re-strikes, a clean weld puddle and excellent arc to give welders the ability to deposit fillet and lap welds without undercutting and to deliver high quality, consistent welds repeatedly.
Separately, Lincoln Electric has enclosed its Ranger 225 GXT welder generator in a case to provide additional engine protection for onsite welding applications for construction contractors, maintenance crews, farmers and ranchers.
