Key Personnel Changes at Eriez Magnetics

Eriez Magnetics (www.eriez.com) has appointed Andy Lewis to the newly created position of vice president, international.

Lewis joined the company in 1976, and has served as managing director of Eriez- Europe since 1995.

Lewis will manage all of the company's affiliate companies and regional headquarters except for the Eriez-CPT businesses in Canada and Brazil, from his base at Eriez-Europe. He also will lead sales and business development for Eriez' affiliates and will serve as chairman, Eriez-Europe, Tim Shuttleworth, president and chief executive officer of Eriez, said.

Also, Paul Fears was appointed to the position of managing director of Eriez-Europe, and will report to Lewis.

Fears joined the company in 1989 as marketing executive. His most recent assignment was marketing director for Eriez-Europe. He will have responsibility for the company's largest operation apart from its headquarters.

Eriez Magnetics designs, develops, manufactures and markets magnetic separation, metal detection and materials feeding, screening, conveying and controlling equipment for process and metalworking industries.

Orbitform Group names new president

Orbitform Group (www.orbitform.com) has named Phil Sponsler as its new president.

Sponsler was promoted to president from his position as general manager, according to Mike Shirkey, owner of the company.

The company said Sponsler has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of engineering, manufacturing, and sales, and has helped the company to grow over the last eight years through continuous process improvements and innovations.

Orbitform Group produces Orbitform orbital riveters, Milford and Adtech impact riveters, Rollerform and Spiralform forming processes, Marathon welding automation, Watchdawg Process Intelligence, and Arbor Automation.

ProMotion Controls names technical service specialist

ProMotion Controls Inc. (www.promotioncontrols.com) added Randy T. May to its staff as technical service specialist.

May is responsible for the service, repair and support of ProMotion Controls full line of shape cutting control equipment throughout North America, Central America and South America.

As part of ProMotion Controls ongoing program of customer service, repair and support, May also was given the responsibility of training and supporting ProMotion Controls' original equipment manufacturers. For ProMotion Control end users, he will assist in thermal cutting machine field retrofits, startup and field integration.

Prior to joining ProMotion Controls, May was the maintenance technician at TEKFOR, where he was responsible for maintaining the company's CNC machining centers and forging presses. He also served as Maintenance Manager for the J.R. Engineering Division of B&C, maintaining and servicing their stable of CNC mills and lathes.

ProMotion Controls specializes in intelligent PC-based shape-cutting controls, nesting software and associated products for shape-cutting machines, including flame cutting machines.
