Over 120 industry professionals with interests in wind-tower fabrication were invited to Lincoln Electric's Cleveland headquarters for several daylong presentations. Each seminar featured an industry overview, technology sessions, and live welding demonstrations for companies already fabricating wind towers and those considering it.

Lincoln has long offered a comprehensive welding solution for wind tower fabrication. Its Waveform Control Technology found in the PowerWave AC/DC 1000 SD has been recognized as a leading power source for fabrication. “In 2008, there were 38 new wind tower manufacturing facilities constructed globally,” said power generation director Patrick Whalen, “and 33 of those used Lincoln products.”
