The center features a full compliment of joining technologies, including the latest in generation of lasers and robotics, and draws on the extensive knowledge and expertise of the work force as KUKA facilities in the area. Much of the work at the KDC will be related to KUKA's core automotive business, and will include dedicated R&D activities and cells operated within each.
The KDC is drawing on KUKA's European experience in laser welding of steel and its own expertise in aluminum welding and joining different types of metal.
