The New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility awarded plasma arc metal cutting technology leader Hypertherm with the 2009 Cornerstone Award. Presented by Gov. John Lynch at NHBSR's annual spring conference, the award recognizes companies for outstanding work in the area of corporate social responsibility.

Hypertherm was selected over the other finalists: Antioch University New England, BAE Systems, Stonyfield Farm, and Simply Green Biofuels. “With a corporate culture that focuses on care for the community and the environment, Hypertherm is a company that sets the pace in terms of ‘doing well by doing good’” said executive director of NHBSR Molly Hodgson.
