Messe Essen and the DVS (German Welding Society) will host the 17th Essen Welding Show, September 14-19, 2009, in Essen, Germany. Organizers expect over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 40 nations at the show.

The fair will offer 18 fair halls, focusing on the newest technologies, appliances, machines, materials, and installations for welding and cutting, as well as for the large number of allied processes (adhesive bonding, brazing/soldering, thermal spraying, heat treatment). Space will also be occupied by fully mechanized and automated processes, industrial robots, data processing, testing systems and procedures, CNC and process controllers, CAD/CAM systems, monitoring facilities, quality assurance, workshops and workplace equipment, safety facilities, and occupational health and safety items.
