U.S. Wholesale Pipe & Tube Adopts Alternative Fuel
MagneGas expanding its natural-gas alternative to California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas
MagneGas Corporation is supplying its natural-gas alternative to U.S. Wholesale Pipe & Tube, a steel fabricator and distributor with five locations in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and California. USW tested the MagneGas fuel for about two months before adopting it for commercial use, according to MagneGas, but now has converted its Florida operation from acetylene gas to the alternative fuel.

The fabricator of steel tubes and components is in line to introduce the new product to the California and Texas markets.
"At U.S. Wholesale Pipe & Tube we are known for our quality, innovation and ability to customize to meet clients' needs," stated president and CEO Ed Rachel. "As such we are very selective in the products we employ. We have thoroughly live-tested MagneGas and have found it to be at least as effective as our current fuel options, while being extraordinarily cleaner in operation. We believe that this fuel represents the future of metalworking technology, and we are proud to be at the forefront of the industry's 'green' movement."
Tampa-based MagneGas Corp. developed and patented the Plasma Arc Flow process to gasify liquid industrial, municipal, agricultural and military liquid wastes into a “clean burning fuel.” It commercialized the waste-to-fuel conversion method about two years ago, and now is licensing it to distributors and fabricators who offer the product as a natural-gas alternative for metalworking or other applications. The developer also indicates the alternative fuel can be used for cooking, heating, and powering hybrid cars, among other applications.
