"Orbital welding is one of the fastest growing segments of our industry," stated Lincoln Electric chairman and CEO John M. Stropki. "Arc Products has a robust and cost-effective line of orbital welding products that, combined with Lincoln's advanced welding power sources and applications engineering expertise, will allow us to quickly build a global leadership position in this important segment."
Arc Products is a privately held, San Diego-based company that designs orbital welding systems for automatic welding of pipe and tube in locations that are difficult to access locations, and for mission-critical applications high weld integrity and sophisticated quality monitoring is required.
Stropki added that Lincoln has been impressed by the Arc Products’ product line and R&D capabilities, and expects that the acquisition will help to “expand and deepen our relationships with key customers.”
"Joining with Lincoln will enable us to service and support end-users on a global basis, and will further accelerate our rapid growth in orbital welding systems," stated Victor Miller, Arc Products president.
