There are many new videos — for training and commercials — available on the Welding Theater website, http://www.weldingtheater.com. Welding Theater is a feature brought to you on-line by Penton's Welding Magazine.

The latest videos to be posted include:

• A video from FIBA Technologies Inc. on its Swap Load Skid. The skid has a custom-made framework that allows easy exchange of empty tanks for full tanks using a hook lift or roll-off truck. The skid allows easy movement of compressed gases to different locations and can eliminate costly crane and delivery charges.

• Aquasol Corp.'s water soluble purge dams that compares traditional cardboard purging systems versus the company's water soluble paper and tape purge systems. The demonstration includes equipment preparation and set up, shielding gas, weld joints, fundamentals and more. Demonstrations cover the fundamentals of welds in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.

• A summary of products available from Torch Wear, the company that makes personal protective gear from material that doesn't break down until it reaches a temperature of 2,600 degrees F. While the gear is costly, it's amazing to watch the videos, especially the demonstration of the company's welding sleeve — but pay attention to the disclaimer, and don't try that at home or in your shop.

• A video from RobotWorx that shows a reconditioned Motoman robot set up in a work cell to do spot welding. The robot manipulator maneuvers the bulky spot welding gun and extends across large parts.

• There is a series of videos on brazing that include “How Close to Hold the Torch,” “Copper Wire Brazing,” and “Brazing Hints and Tips.”
