Web-based weld-management software
techMatrix LLC (www.techMatrixLLC.net) reports its web-based wel-management software suite has been upgraded to version 1.5. The WeldWorks Software Suite now includes integrated statistical functions to create grouped and non-grouped box-plots easily, for quick visual interpretation of weld data. In addition, manufacturers now can upload variable test data — like that from pull or peel testing — directly into the WeldWorks database to allow for the correlation of production weld data with either destructive or non-destructive data.

The company said that manufacturers that own modern weld controllers can now capture a complete picture of their resistance weld process using the software without any additional hardware monitoring equipment. WeldWorks leverages the controller's already built-in monitoring features. A software based approach provides a more flexible and much less expensive solution to managing the weld process than stand-alone weld monitors, according to techMatrix. Plus, WeldWorks' service-oriented architecture makes it straightforward to integrate weld-process information into a company's SPC or MES system.
