Pinpoint Laser Systems Inc. (www.pinlaser.com) has introduced a right-angle beam bender for lasers that provides squareness to within 0.0006 degrees, or equivalent of 0.001 in. over a distance of eight feet. Pinpoint Laser's "90-Line" right-angle beam bender is designed to use the reference laser beam from the company's Microgage 2000 laser. The bender turns the laser beam 90 degrees square to the incoming beam. The company says the beam bender can be used to check gantry travel and position, adjust parallel tracks and rails, and adjust machine tools.
