Trumpf Inc. (www.us.trumpf.com) will offer in North America later this year new 6 kW and 8 kW disk lasers that the company says provide increased power at lower operating costs. Trumpf says its TruDisk lasers are not sensitive to back reflection. That means that laser-light cables that are more than 100 meters in length can be used to direct them, and that they can process reflective materials such as copper.
