Trumpf Inc. (www.us.trumpf.com) designed the Lasercell 1000 Powertrain for laser welding powertrain and gear components in high volume production facilities, specifically the automotive industry. The company says the advantages of laser welding include designs with reduced weight, less distortion in parts compared with other welding processes, and reduction of costs through the elimination of assembly operations. Flexible add-ons includes the press-rotary station, pre-heating and filler wire feeder.
