MG Systems and Welding (www.mg-systems-welding.com) says its SureStop magnetic collision sensor system holds plasma torches rigidly in place while protecting them from collision damage due to programming errors, obstructions on the cutting table, improper material positioning and tip-ups. The system also protects torches in the Z-axis direction. SureStop systems use permanent magnets, a feature the company says is important because of the heat issues that can arise with thermal cutting.
