ESAB's CaddyTig 150 (150 amp) and CaddyTig 200 (200 amp) are portable, 20-lb, 230-V, single-phase machines for TIG and MMA welding. The units feature sturdy handgrips that also serve as a protective shield. With impact-resistant plastic cases, the machines withstand tough out-door environments and bad weather.

Machine features include adjustable slope up/down and pre/post gas flow to avoid cracks and oxidation.

For TIG welding, there is HF ignition or Lift Arc for safe starting, and pulse programming to control the weld pool. A ² /4 stroke feature frees the operator from holding the trigger during welding.

For MMA welding, there is an automatic hot start and Arc Plus that reportedly improves weld characteristics, especially with certain filler metals such as cellulosic electrodes.
