The Multi-Power 460 performs heavy-duty DC MIG, pulse MIG, TIG, and stick-electrode welding and air-carbon-arc gouging with flux-cored wire. SuperSwitch technology provides inverter-like performance in the welding arc while providing silicon-controlled reliability (SCR). The units fine tunes for short-arc welding. The manufacturer reports the MultiPower 460 uses 60% less current than conventional SCR machines. It also leads its class in energy savings and reduced power costs.
