Step Drills
A new series of
titanium-nitride-coated step drills is available. The hard surface
treatment reduces friction and increases drill life up to six times
over uncoated step drills. All step drills have three flats ground
on the shank preventing the drill from slipping in the drill chuck.
The balanced double flute provides two cutting edges for faster and
easier cutting in virtually any soft or hard material. TiN-coated
step drills are available with 1 /4 and 3 /8
in. shanks. In addition to the new, coated step drill, the company
offers a line of high-speed double-fluted step drills. Morse step
drills allow users to drill multiple size holes using the same bit
resulting in less change over time. Designed to cut clean and
precise holes without denting or deflecting the metal, the drills
are available individually or in kits. These drills are an ideal
tool for contractors, sheetmetals workers, and auto mechanics
drilling repetitive holes in steel, copper, brass, plastic,
Plexiglas and other thin materials.
