Compactor Tops
A new plate
compactor is for efficient compaction of soil and gravel in
trenches, around retaining walls, and any other challenging jobsite
applications. Mikasa's MVH-306 Series reversible plate compactor
replaces the MVH-304 Series and comes with improvements to increase
productivity while decreasing maintenance and cleaning headaches.
The series has a re-designed eccentric assembly generating 10,125
lb. of compaction force. The unit's new plate design, sized 18 x 34
in., offers plate-leaning characteristics and is available with a
9-HP Honda gasoline engine, or 7-HP Yanmar diesel engine options.
The two Yanmar diesel models also feature wider diameter steel
piping on the engine protection frame for improved strength. In
addition, the series has a re-designed sealed bottom belt cover to
keep dirt and rocks away from the belt. Other advances over the
predecessor units include hydraulics now located on the handle for
simplified storage and a plastic battery enclosure. The series
produces at speeds up to 75 SFPM, allowing operators to compact up
to 9,000 ft. 2 per hour. The Honda GX-270 and Yanmar
L-70EE engines generate 4,400 vibrations per minute.
